The Village bookshop

In the heart of the festival village, the bookshop welcomes you daily from 10:30am to 9pm.

Take a break from your schedule or visit between screenings to check out the themes of what we wanted to be a real cinema bookshop with over 300 titles!

To extend your screening enjoyment, the spotlight is on the Lumière 2015 lineup: from Martin Scorsese to Julien Duvivier, from Akira Kurosawa to Pixar studios, find various books on the filmmakers honored this year, as well as actors who marked their era, such as Jean Yanne or Sophia Loren.

Thanks to a selection of works by invited festival authors, discover the writings of Nicolas Winding Refn or Pierre Richard...

For fans who like reading films as much as watching them, a section called "from the page to the screen" groups works adapted to the big screen and shown at Lumière 2015.

A selection of film magazines lets you immerse yourself in the recent news of movies and caters to your cinephile passion: Positif, Cahiers du Cinéma, Jeune Cinéma, Inrocks or So Film. Also leaf through back issues of Positif to look up past features on Scorsese or Duvivier!

Finally, children are not forgotten: the youth section offers books that tell the story of film, its behind-the-scenes secrets and its History, short stories to discover some great names in film, and activity books on the cinema.

The spotlight is on new and beautiful works, from classics to more exclusive publications, as well as film music, whose selection increases every year!

New this year: Books signings by festival artists will be held in Lyon bookstores.
